Smuggler's Cove Straits Sling
Ingredients
1/4 oz DOM Bénédictine
2 oz Club soda
3/4 oz Lemon juice
1/2 oz Demerera syrup
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 dash Orange bitters
Garnishes
1 slice Lime
Glass
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, fill with ice and shake until well chilled.
Strain into a Collins glass filled with crushed or pebble ice.
Top with the club soda and garnish with a lemon slice.
History
The Smuggler’s Cove Straits Sling comes from Martin Cate, bartender and owner of Smuggler’s Cove, the award-winning Tiki bar in San Francisco. The bar is known for stocking one of the country’s most impressive rum selections, but this drink skips rum entirely, instead calling on gin as its base spirit.
